This week, multiple authoritative sources have claimed that the son of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher is about to sign up with the Ferrari young driver ‘academy’. The deal is stated to include F1 outings in the post-race young driver tests after the Bahrain and Spanish Grands Prix this year. Ferrari would not confirm the news, but when asked, a spokesman said Ferrari is “naturally interested in Mick”. 19-year-old Schumacher steps up to Formula 2 this year, having won the European Formula 3 title. Nico Rosberg, the 2016 world champion, warned that the pressure on Schumacher is rising.

Ferrari willing to priortise Vettel over Leclerc

Ferrari willing to priortise Vettel over Leclerc New Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto says the team is open to giving Sebastian Vettel “priority” over team-mate Charles Leclerc during the first races of 2019. Ferrari has undergone a tweak to its driver line-up this season, with Leclerc promoted to the Scuderia as a replacement for the outgoing Kimi Raikkonen. The Italian outfit, who has often been criticised for its public team order policy, was blasted last year for not getting fully behind Vettel’s push against Lewis Hamilton for the drivers’ title.

The new Ferrari F 8 isn't just an updated 488 with a body kit. Virtually every body part is changed to make the Tributo come to life. The new lower fascia further adds extra ducts at the corners, and it's very easy to see the resculptured hood as well. Ferrari says the aero changes with the S-Duct alone

Hamilton: Mercedes deficit to Ferrari 'potentially half a second'

Hamilton: Mercedes deficit to Ferrari 'potentially half a second' Lewis Hamilton is concerned Mercedes could find itself as much as half a second off the pace of Ferrari at the start of the season. Ferrari is being tipped as the early-season favourites following its performance over winter testing, the Italian outfit registering the fastest laptime over the two weeks in Barcelona. Mercedes has waited until the final day of the second test to increase its pace, but the team’s best time on the morning session was three tenths slower than Ferrari’s benchmark. Although unsure as to what the exact gap is, Hamilton admits Mercedes could be 0.5s behind by the season-opener in Melbourne in two weeks time.

This is the new Ferrari F 8 Tributo . Not only the most powerful mid - engined V8 Ferrari supercar in history, but also a rosso-liveried haymaker aimed at Woking. Some styling features, including the "rearward-angled" front radiators and rear air intakes, are carried over from the 488 Pista, while a smaller steering wheel and redesigned S-duct intake distinguish the new model from its predecessor.

Louvres on the transparent engine cover are a design reference to the Ferrari F40 and the twin rear light clusters are a modern interpretation of those that featured on the 1975 308 GTB, the first eight-cylinder Berlinetta.

Ferrari has given no indication yet of the F8 Tributo's pricing, on-sale date or delivery date, but expect that information to become public in the next few weeks.
