Fallows himself complements: "I have experienced many happy years at Red Bull Racing and am proud of what we have achieved. I am looking forward to the next season and a new challenge." He has been working for Red Bull since 2006, most recently as aerodynamic chief.

Aston Martin wanted to get him on board as soon as possible to make rapid progress after a disappointing season 2021, in which one only took the seventh place in the constructor rating. Last year, the team announced to commit Fallows as a new technical director.

However, the matter went to court, as Red Bull insisted that Fallow holds itself to the conditions of his then Treaty, which ran until 2023. Horner stressed then that the team has little interest in dismissing Fallows prematurely.

"Our situation with Dan is really clear. He works at the car (for 2021; Note d. R.), he works on the car for the next year," Horner said in July. "He still has a considerable amount of time. He has signed the contract only late last year, so it remains a considerable period of time until mid 2023."

One will therefore "continue to deal with him during the remaining contract period," it said. Since both Fallows and Aston Martin urged a premature contract resolution, the matter went to court. With the agreement, which confirmed both teams on Tuesday, the thing is now off the table.
