Gal Gadot is grateful for her $300,000 "Wonder Woman" paycheck — even though fans think she deserved more.
The 32-year-old superhero star told TMZ on Tuesday that she is "grateful and happy" about her salary for the flick, which was part of a three-film agreement along with "Batman vs Superman" and "Justice League" at $300,000 apiece.
Gadot told the gossip site photographer that she should hire him as her lawyer to do the negotiations for a sequel after he suggested she deserved more for the next one.
Countless fans came the Israeli-born actress' defense last week after news broke that she was paid just $300,000 for the summer blockbuster — but it turns out that sum isn't all that uncommon for a relatively unknown actor's first shot at a superhero flick.
Lynda Carter gives Gal Gadot her blessing
Gal Gadot received Lynda Carter's blessing to play the lead role in 'Wonder Woman' movie and was "thanked" for "sharing the burden" with the actress who played the superhero role in 1975.The 32-year-old actress portrays Diana, the Princess of the Amazons, in the fantasy film, which was previously played by Lynda in the 1975 television series, but the 65-year-old star had no qualms about passing over the reins to the brunette beauty and was "100 per cent" behind the new remake of the production.
Chris Evans was paid the same rate for his first "Captain America" film in 2011 and Chris Hemsworth reportedly raked in even less for his debut as Thor the same year.
"Wonder Woman" has grossed more than $600 million worldwide since it hit theaters on June 2.
Patty Jenkins is working on a treatment for a sequel, but she has yet to be officially signed on as director as she reportedly negotiates a higher rate.
There is a good chance Gadot could sign a much better deal the second time around. Evans later made $7 million for his role in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," which was his third film in the series, after having signed a similar contract as Gadot's to land "Captain America: The First Avenger" (which grossed even less than "Wonder Woman").
Gadot's next appearance as Wonder Woman will be in "Justice League" due out on Nov. 17.
