Pordenone President confirms West Ham's interest in Meneghetti

Pordenone President confirms West Ham's interest in Meneghetti Mauro Lovisa, the club president of Serie C side Pordenone has confirmed that West Ham are interested in signing goalkeeper Marco Meneghetti from the Italian club. The 17-year-old, who broke into the Pordenone first team earlier this year, was linked with a move to West Ham at the weekend and Lovisa has confirmed that there is more to the links than just paper talk. Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Lovisa confirmed that West Ham have made an approach for Meneghetti but also said that Inter Milan are also keeping a close eye on him. “Marco Meneghetti is in the sights of the Hammers. I have the official e-mail from the British club. The fact is that Marco also interests Inter.” Aged 17, it would be highly unlikely that Meneghetti signed at West Ham as a first team player but with Adrian’s future still uncertain and with Joe Hart unlikely to make his loan move a permanent deal, it makes sense for the Hammers to be keeping their options open. If he does sign for the Hammers, Meneghetti would likely go into the academy structure for at least a year.

Thill keen to leave Metz amid links with West Ham

Thill keen to leave Metz amid links with West Ham Reported West Ham target Vincent Thill is understood to be keen on making a summer move away from Metz this summer. It was reported last month that David Moyes is seemingly intent on staying put at the London Stadium for the foreseeable future. This prompted claims that he has already set his sight on a number of targets to inject some life into his ageing West Ham squad – including Thill. The 18-year-old is held in high regard out in France and has been dubbed as one for the future. However, as per the Luxembourg Wort – a media source in the player’s homeland – he is out to secure a move away from Metz in the coming months. Thill has only managed to feature in one Ligue 1 game for his side this season, which he is understood to have been left frustrated by. This has led to him to seek pastures new ahead of the summer transfer window. It’s stated in the report that the Luxembourg international’s future is being discussed by chiefs at Metz. Conversations are said to be taking place with regards to whether or not Thill should be sold or loaned out for the season. West Ham will face competition from Juventus for Thill’s signature, though, if they do press ahead with their efforts to land him. According to Luxembourg Wort, the youngster’s agent Meissa N’Diaye held talks with the Serie A giants over a potential move.

Christopher Eccleston has now suggested he quit the show after falling out with bosses over his decision to play the character with a strong northern accent.

West Ham fined £30,000 over anti-doping breach

West Ham fined £30,000 over anti-doping breach West Ham United have been fined £30,000 after admitting a breach of the Football Association’s anti-doping regulations, as reported by BBC Sport. West Ham failed to provide accurate ‘club whereabouts’ information on three different occasions in the space of 12 months. Premier League clubs have to provide accurate details of their training sessions and the loaction of their players so that they can be randomly tested, but West Ham failed to do this. The Hammers are in a relegation dogfight at the bottom of the Premier League table as they currently sit two points above the drop zone with just nine games remaining. A club spokesperson spoke about the situation following the charge: “The club accepts the charge and we will endeavour to tighten our procedures to avoid this happening again. The breach related to administrative oversights on the FA’s whereabouts system, where for example a player’s address had been registered and the house number digits transposed. We would like to reiterate that the breach was a club administrative matter and did not concern any of our players.
