The semi-autobiographical The Summer of Rockets, which will be set in 1958 in the UK, boasts leads in all-round national treasure Keeley Hawes and Lost in Space's Toby Stephens.

The upcoming series will also star Homeland's Linus Roache, who will play an MP, Timothy Spall as Lord Arthur Wallington, Lily Sacofsky, Gary Beadle and Mark Bonnar.

Stephens will take on the role of Samuel, a Russian Jewish inventor and designer of bespoke hearing aids who is enlisted by M15 to demonstrate his skills.
