Crystal Palace line up opening bid for Celtic star

Crystal Palace line up opening bid for Celtic star Crystal Palace are interested in a move for Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong, according to the Express. The 26-year old Scotland international is reported to be stalling on signing a new deal with the Hoops, which the Eagles are aware of, with Director of Football Dougie Freedman a big fan. Celtic would like to keep Armstrong, but manager Brendan Rodgers has warned Armstrong he won’t let him run his deal down like he did last time before committing. Armstrong’s current deal expires next summer, meaning the Bhoys may be forced to cash in if he refuses to commit soon. Freedman has alerted Roy Hodgson to Armstrong and a bid in excess of £4million is expected to be submitted to start negotiations. Southampton are also said to be long-time admirers of the former Dundee United man.

There, Chazelle promised exhibitors that audiences would not only be taken on an “immersive journey,” going with Armstrong and his crew as they took their first steps on the moon, but to give a look at Neil and Janet’s difficult marriage.

In addition to Gosling and Foy, “First Man” also stars Pablo Schreiber, Kyle Chandler, and Jason Clarke. It’s set to fly into theaters on Oct. 12.

Former Celtic captain urges Armstrong to turn down Premier League interest .
Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong is being urged to stay at the club this summer, amid reports about his future. As reported by the Daily Mail, former Celtic captain Tom Boyd says that Armstrong should turn down interest from England. Boyd has urged Armstrong to prioritise winning at Celtic over the lure of more money elsewhere. “What do you want to be as a player? Do you want to be a winner? Or do you want to just earn good money? I really hope Stuart can stay at Celtic. We don’t want our best players leaving.” “I know in the grand scheme of things there’s a big gap between the Scottish Premiership and the English Premiership. And he clearly has a decision to make.” “But I don’t want to see Stuart go. Hopefully we can get him to stay – a five year contract would be nice.” Reports emerged over the weekend that the club were willing to listen to offers for the player. Crystal Palace were one of many teams to be linked with the player, while Southampton have also expressed interest in recent months. West Brom and Brighton have also been credited with an interest in the Scottish international. Armstrong has been linked with a move away for some time and is about to enter the final months of his contract at the club, which may force the Hoops into selling the player.
