Hodgson reveals why he missed out on seeing Batshuayi sign

Hodgson reveals why he missed out on seeing Batshuayi sign Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has admitted that he went to bed last night not knowing whether the club would be able to sign Michy Batshuayi or not. The Belgium international striker joined the Eagles on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, with the deal coming close to the wire on transfer deadline day. West Ham and Real Betis had been linked with loan moves earlier in the day, but the 25-year opted to move to Selhurst Park instead. However, Hodgson had no clue a deal had been done until the following morning.

Erin McGregor has revealed how she was left in tears over online trolls making nasty comments about her after she appeared on the Late Late Show.

The 36-year-old TV star, who is UFC fighter Conor McGregor’s older sister, told of how upset she was after seeing some of the comments made about her appearance on the show.

The former Dancing With The Stars contestant hit out about anonymous bullies who make cruel remarks about people’s appearance or parenting.

Rodgers reveals the moment he knew McGregor was a special player

Rodgers reveals the moment he knew McGregor was a special player Brendan Rodgers has claimed that he knew Callum McGregor was a special player the first time he saw him. The 25-year-old has become something of a fan favourite at Celtic Park, being deployed in a variety of positions as and when called upon. A fringe player when Rodgers arrived at the club, the Glasgow-native has become one of the critical players in a Bhoys squad dreaming of domestic and European glory. Quoted by the Daily Record, the former Liverpool boss said: “When I first came in John Kennedy told me all about Callum. He’s played in his young teams and he’d seen him coming through. Early on I could tell quickly he was technically gifted.

I done the Late Late Show, I got into bed and I never heard the cries of me - I literally howled.

“I could hear myself crying and it was actually like a wild animal being wounded. I couldn’t believe that these - and women - were saying this s***.

I only saw recently, there was a girl on First Dates and they were talking about her make-up. I was like, are you f***ing winding me up?”

She continued: “I just hope that these people who are writing this stuff aren’t educating our children, aren’t working with our kids.

Erin said that after her own struggle with trolls, she has become less judgemental of others.

“One positive thing out of the journey I’ve been on is I’ve learned to me less judgemental. I’ve learned to say, you know what, whatever’s going on in your life to be like that… to kind of have a bit of empathy for the person and try to see it from another person’s point of view.

“At the end of the day, no one knows what anyone is going through, no one knows. Life has shown me that if you judge someone, you bet your b******* in a year or two time, something will happen to me.”
