When it comes to raising money for Comic Relief, there are a whole heap of challenges celebs have taken on; from climbing Kilimanjaro to climbing the Three Peaks and cycling between them.

But not all challenges have to be quite so serious, as Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly are currently demonstrating with their 24-hour danceathon.

The Strictly Come Dancing hosts kicked things off at 7pm last night – starting by dancing to Beyoncé, naturally – and will be on their feet until at least 7pm tonight.

The aim is to go past the 24-hour mark to beat the danceathon record Sara Cox set in 2017.

Jake Quickenden and the cast of Hair the Musical also popped in to help out with a run through of Gangnam Style (sadly, Ed Balls was nowhere to be seen) and Arlene Phillips also offered some dance tips.

Shortly before starting the challenge, Claudia said: “I know it’s going to be hilarious to watch because we’re pretty bad dancers – I’m not very good at standing, let alone dancing.

“Thankfully we’ll have each other and we’re going to push through to raise as much money as we can for Red Nose Day.”
