The Coronation Street star, 35, has worked in front of the camera for years but will be firmly out of her comfort zone when she has to strut her stuff in front of the nation.
She said: 'The thing I am most nervous about is waiting in those wings and hearing my name. I can’t begin to imagine the nerves.

She said: 'I am a huge fan of the show. I’ve tried to watch it as much as I can since the first show. But I also can’t dance.
'I went to drama school but I never had the confidence to take part in the dance classes – often I’d avoid them completely.
