Strictly Come Dancing made its triumphant return on Saturday (September 21), trouncing ITV's Britain's Got Talent: The Champions in the ratings.

While the judging line-up looked a little different with the addition of Motsi Mabuse, it was business as usual: 'Fab-u-lous', dreadful VTs and a lot of fake tan.

Or it was mostly business as usual, as the show dropped one segment that's been part of the package since forever.

To be fair, we didn't notice it either (it was a Saturday night, we might have been on the wine). And while the pre-VT waving is an iconic moment, it's quite cheesy, even by Strictly standards.

Elsewhere on Saturday's show, the judges handed out some of the highest first week scores that they've awarded in years.

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday nights on BBC One, with the results show on Sundays. The Hits Radio Breakfast Show airs every weekday on Hits Radio.
