Marvel Studios' Captain Marvel is one of the MCU's biggest releases, becoming one of three non-Avengers movies (although Civil War is basically Avengers 2.5) and the only origin movie to break $1 million at the worldwide box office.

But when Kevin Feige announced the slate of Phase 4 movies, a sequel was nowhere to be seen. Obviously Captain Marvel 2 in development, that's been confirmed, but it isn't among the films coming out before 2022.

When asked by Variety if she knew when the sequel is planned for, she said: "No. I don’t really know what job I’m going to do next, which is very exciting. I don’t even know what my life’s gonna be!

"And most of this year, you know, I had to do the press tour. But then the last half of the year, I’ve just been focusing way more on just doing what I want to do that’s completely outside of my job."

One thing she won't be doing is paying attention to any of the 'fans' to take her comments out of context to make her look bad on YouTube, or try and review bomb the film on aggregate sites.
