Line of Duty's Stephen Graham and some of the stars of Game of Thrones will bring the brutal true-crime story of the White House Farm murders to ITV.

The six-part series dramatises the real-life case from 1985 where Sheila Caffell, her 6-year-old twins and parents were all murdered at an Essex farmhouse.

While investigators initially suspected Sheila was responsible for a murder-suicide because of a history of mental health problems, her brother Jeremy Bamber was ultimately arrested and convicted of the crime. Bamber is currently serving a life sentence for the crimes, but maintains his innocence.

In White House Farm, Watership Down's Freddie Fox will portray Jeremy Bamber while Stephen Graham has been cast as the detective who helped bring him down.

The series will be a Game of Thrones reunion of sorts, with Mark Addy (King Robert Baratheon), Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy) and Mark Stanley (Grenn) all having major roles.

The Bye Bye Man's Cressida Bonas, Torchwood star Nicholas Farrell, Detectorists star Alexa Davies and Brookside legend Amanda Burton will also appear.

Writer Kris Mrksa (Requiem) said: "This is an incredibly compelling true-crime story, but it's the human dimension of these events that gripped my imagination, particularly after reading Colin Caffell's book.
