There's been a big change to this year's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! following a number of Australian bushfires that have spread across the country.

Earlier this month, bushfires were reported to have taken place within 30km of the main camps.

And while ITV bosses have insisted these would have no effect on this year's series – which premiered on Sunday night (November 18) – there has been one noticeable safety feature put in place: a gas fire.

As the contestants divided into their respective camps, with the winning team Crocodile Creek sitting down to a jungle feast and the losing team Snake Rock consoling themselves with beans and rice, viewers noticed that the celebrities were cooking on the newly-installed gas appliances in the centre of the camp.

Speaking previously about the bush fire risk, I'm A Celebrity bosses told the Evening Standard: "We are in constant contact with the NSW (New South Wales) fire brigade and are closely monitoring the situation.

"We currently have no cause for concern. The health and safety of all our production crew and celebrities are of the utmost importance."
