Anthony, who has worked with Brad on multiple projects sympathised with him and said drinking was ‘necessary’, with Brad adding: ‘To some degree, yes.’

He recalled Anthony opening up about his own issues with alcohol when they made film Meet Joe Black, saying Anthony is ’embracing all your mistakes,’ and that ‘there’s beauty in that.’

Brad revealed that he often hung out with architect Frank Gehry on occasion.

He said: ‘He just turned 90 last year and is as creative as ever, creating some of the great buildings of our time. And it makes me think, “We’re human, we want purpose, we want meaning in our lives”.
