Taylor Swift has signed an exclusive global publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group.

The agreement, which goes into effect immediately, is meant to strengthen the partnership between the "Lover" singer — and star of recent Netflix documentary "Miss Americana" — and the Universal Music family, according to a statement on Thursday. The group will serve as Swift's only worldwide partner for recorded music and its Republic Records will be her U.S. label partner.
