“They just run about silly, they have ruined the nice lawn I made over lockdown but I don’t even mind.

“When it starts to get a bit dark I let Riley out for her last pee before bed but now she actually sits and waits for the fox to arrive.

“Eventually it will come out the bushes and they will have a play about together out the back.

“I was a wee bit worried about them together at first because Riley is only a pup, she's just one and a small dog, but I soon realised they really trust each other.”

The pair are now gathering attention online as they become Scotland’s own answer to Walt Disney’s 1981 kid class The Fox and The Hound.

Paul said: “I took the video of them outside my living room window to share as I had noticed the fox comes round every night around 10pm.

"He runs away if any people come around he doesn't like humans but he seems really comfortable with Riley.

“A few people said they had never seen anything like that before so I’m glad I shared it, it does seem pretty unusual.

“Now it has been shared quite a bit, people like watching them just run about having a bit of fun."
