Cult comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm will officially return for its 11th season.

Created by and starring comedian Larry David, the show has been a mainstay on HBO since debuting 20 years ago, attracting many big names over the years for guest roles.

In season 10, the likes of Mad Men actor Jon Hamm, Jonah Hill, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Orange is the New Black's Laverne Cox and Sean Penn all made appearances.

On season 11's announcement, Larry joked: "Believe me, I'm as upset about this as you are. One day I can only hope that HBO will come to their senses and grant me the cancellation I so richly deserve."
