A creative process which took the artist to unexpected sound territories

Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park had the idea of ​​collaborating with his fans via Twitch to create his latest album entitled Dropped Frames Vol. 1. The musician involved his community throughout the process, taking into account the feedback and suggestions in order to refine his album.

"Dropped Frames has more to do with a live experience on the channel than with an album itself. The titles put together highlight what I’ve done live on the channel, and a lot of the experience is with the stream itself, "he said in a statement released by Spin .

Letting himself be guided by the desires of his fans, Mike Shinoda took directions that he would never have explored alone.

"In addition to bringing my fans together for daily conversations, the livestreams have inspired dozens of encounters between genres and unexpected ideas," the artist also wrote on Instagram to announce the release of his album.

On arrival, the titles on board Dropped Frames Vol. 1 present a mix of "Mariachi", "Bollywood hip-hop" and "90's pop" inspirations, all driven by the vivid sound imagination of Mike Shinoda fans.
