'Homesick' Ruth Langsford reveals dream staycation This Morning and Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford has admitted she's feeling homesick during lockdown – find out where she wants to go

Jamie Dornan has revealed he wanted to 'run away' from the set of his latest film during his first night of filming, adding he was 'terrified'.

The Hollywood star was chatting to Eamonn and Ruth on Wednesday's This Morning about his upcoming film Endings Beginnings which is released this Friday, August 7.

Written by Drake Doremus, the film is semi-improvised meaning Dornan and his fellow stars Shailene Woodley, who plays Daphne and Sebastian Stan who plays Frank have to fill in the gaps with their own dialogue, something which terrified the 50 Shades star.

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby announce This Morning break

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby announce This Morning break 'This Morning' duo Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have confirmed Friday (10.07.20) will be their last day in work before their summer holidays. The presenting duo - who are preparing for their usual summer holidays - revealed Friday will be their final appearance before their brief hiatus, and they can't believe how quickly the date sneaked up on them.

"Honestly Eamonn, the first night I thought about running away I was that terrified, honestly, he said.

"We were shooting a night scene in the Valley in LA in Studio City in LA, and the first scene is the first time you see my character and Daphne and Frank which is Shailene and Sebastian's characters and they had already been shooting for two weeks, I was doing something else so I couldn't so they were into the groove of it and the understanding of the improv.

"And I came in the first night, not knowing anybody...and I was so terrified I thought about running away. I thought ‘What are the ramifications here, if I run?’ But I came to my senses."

He added: "I've done a little bit of improv before earlier in my career but certainly not a whole movies' worth."

The absolute best movies of the 2010s

The absolute best movies of the 2010s What do the 50 best movies of the last decade have in common? Truthfully, other than their ability to entertain, not a lot. It’s the diversity of theme, style and story that have made the films of the 2010s so interesting. Marked by stellar performances, startling technical achievements and versions of past and future—real and imagined—that inspire us to think and dream, these are the films that we consider the absolute best of the last decade.

To which Eamonn responded: "As Ted Hastings would say in Line of Duty, "Holy, Mary, Mother of God, it sounds like a nightmare."

But Dornan relished the challenge and said his relationship with the director meant he was able to persuade him to allow him to perform the role using his native Northern Ireland accent.

"The Director and I made commercial a few years ago for Hugo Boss that he had directed and I'm a big golf enthusiast and so is Drake so we'd been talking about this project for a long time, so I had a bit of influence over that [using his own accent] and because of the way he makes his movies and because there is such a reliance on improvisation it fits if you can use your original accent so we worked it in that Jack would be Irish.

The Co Down heartthrob also spoke about his desire to get back to doing more comedy roles having done some work in the genre in his early career.

He revealed that a new comedy film where he stars in alongside Bridesmaid's actress Kristen Wiig, had been due for release this week but has now been postponed for a year due to Coronavirus.

"It's called Barb and Star go to Vista del Mar so as you can tell by the title it's a very serious movie," he laughed.

"It was meant to come out four days ago but we've postponed the release by a year because of the pandemic but I always thought I would do comedy early on and then I played a psychopath and no-one really thought of me that way so I've been trying to get back to it a little bit."

Finishing off the interview, host and fellow Northern Irish native Eamonn Holmes told Dornan there was one question he always wanted to ask him.

"I've always wanted to ask you this, every time you go home to Northern Ireland, people must stop you in the street and go, 'Hiya Eamonn how ya doing?' and I just wonder does that hurt you or how do you deal with that?"

To which a smiling Dornan replied: "I can only take that as a compliment."

"Fair enough mate, fair enough," added Eamonn.

Endings Beginnings is due for release on Friday, August 7 to rent or buy on Amazon, Sky and Virgin.
