ITV Studios' director of entertainment Richard Cowles said: "We pulled out all the stops to try and make the series happen in Australia. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and despite us looking at many different contingencies, it became apparent that it just wasn't possible for us to travel and make the show there.

"They were after me for this one but I didn’t fancy it, mate," Vinnie told Sports Breakfast (via Talk Sport).
He spoke of his previous time on Big Brother as a reason for why he'd decided against doing another reality show. "It was very demoralising," he said of his experience. "You start off and it's good craic but then it just gets demoralising, you start missing the family and then you've got some irritable wannabes around you and, you know, it's their moment and they just get more irritable as it goes on."

What's the rumour? After an emotional exit from the BBC talk show, rumours started circulating that Matt Baker might be looking to head down under for the 2020 run of I'm a Celebrity.
The revelation follows reports that the show might not be as real as we thought . TV fanatic Chrissy Teigen recently tweeted that she didn't know if the cast were the real deal, after she revealed that her friends who worked in property hadn't heard of the agents. 'I look at LA real estate a lot and have never seen any of these people, neither have our agents who I have obsessively asked,' she wrote.

What's the rumour? AJ announced his departure from the BBC dance show in March, after four years on its famous dance floor, explaining that he was hoping to explore more opportunities alongside his Love Island brother Curtis.
With more free time on his hands, it didn't take long for talk of a possible stint in the jungle to start circulating. And when AJ was quizzed about it on Channel 4's The Steph Show, he refused to shut it down.
"Well, let me put it like this, I've just cleaned out the loft as my mum has a list of jobs for us to do," he said. "The amount of spiders up there, I was screaming my head off. So, if anything like that did happen, it would be hilarious – that's for sure!"
Who? Former professional footballer, actor and producer.
What's the rumour? According to The Sun, the controversial Manchester United star has been top of the list for TV bosses since talks began.

Who? Former professional footballer.
What's the rumour? No stranger to reality television, John Barnes had a controversial stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house back in 2018.
And that's not all – during a recent interview with Radio Times, he reflected on some of his TV appearances while answering the question of whether he'd like to do I'm a Celeb. "I've done a few shows – I've been on Family Fortunes and The Brightest Family. I did Strictly Come Dancing 10 years ago, but Dancing on Ice with my age and the injuries I've had, I don't think so. The Jungle would be good!"

The final episode saw Coronation Street legend Andy Whyment and Capital Radio DJ Roman Kemp land the runner-up slots, with all three finalists having to face a Bushtucker Trial all on their own.
Of course I'm a Celebrity is going to be fronted by the nation's favourite presenting duo Ant & Dec.
Speculation has already started about whether This Morning's Holly Willoughby, who previously stepped in for Ant, might be making some sort of appearance again this year – especially now it's planned to be sticking around in the UK.
No official word on that though, so for now it's safe to assume she won't be (having previously ruled it out).
I'm a Celebrity will return to ITV from its new UK location later in 2020.
