Strictly Come Dancing is reportedly set to pay an emotional tribute to Caroline Flack in a special this year.

Love Island host Caroline, 40, who tragically took her own life in February 2020, broke records on the show when she competed back in 2014 with professional dancer Pasha Kovalev as she became the first person to score the maximum 40 points in all three of her dances in the final.

Now, the late star is allegedly set to get a deserving tribute to showcase her talent in a one-off BBC special called Strictly: The Best Of The Final.

It is believed that a large part of the show will focus on Caroline's time competing and among those paying tribute will be her former partner Pasha, 40, and her close pal Janette Manrara, 36, who still dances on the show.

A source said: "Caroline was loved by all on Strictly and was a hugely popular winner among the executives and the crew.

“She was a bundle of energy and they thought if they were going to look at some of the best finals ever it would be fitting to feature her in a big way."

Strictly hosts Tess Daly, 51, and Claudia Winkelman, 48, are reportedly going to present the special, which will also feature judges Shirley Ballas, 59, Motsi Mabuse, 39, Craig Revel Horwood, 55, and 64 year old Bruno Tonioli.

It comes as Caroline's best friend Lou Teasdale recently paid tribute to the late star, six months after her untimely death.

Former One Direction hairstylist and makeup artist Lou shared two throwback photos of herself and Caroline together.

The first snap shows Lou sat on the back of a grey sofa while taking the photo in the mirror while Caroline is posing next to her as she kneels on the couch.

The second touching photo shows Lou tucking her hair behind her ear while sat closely next to a widely smiling Caroline.

Lou then paid tribute to Caroline, whose former boyfriend Lewis Burton was recently seen hugging a mystery woman, in the caption as she wrote: “6 months without you. I miss you” followed by a red heart emoji.

She then urged her 4.1million followers to: “Look after your friends x”.

During an appearance on The One Show on Tuesday evening, Caroline Quentin was the first of three celebrities confirmed to be taking part in the forthcoming series.
