A drama series about the making of 'The Godfather' is set to air on CBS's new streaming service.
The iconic film - which starred Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone - will be the focus of an upcoming drama on Paramount+, which is the rebrand of CBS All Access and is set to launch in 2021.
Looking forward to the launch, Bob Bakish, the CEO of ViacomCBS, said: "Paramount is an iconic and storied brand beloved by consumers all over the world, and it is synonymous with quality, integrity and world-class storytelling.

Laurel is not impressed.

'The Offer' will be a 10-episode series from executive producer Michael Tolkin, which will centre on Al Ruddy's experience of producing 'The Godfather'.
CBS has also announced plans to air a reboot of BET's 'The Game', and revive VH1's 'Behind The Music', which gave fans an insight into the lives of pop music's most influential artists.
What's more, Paramount+ will screen 'The Real Criminal Minds', a docu-series based on the crime-drama TV series.
'The Godfather' is widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, and director Francis Ford Coppola previously described Brando as one of his heroes.

Disney fans can finally watch the long-awaited live action remake of 'Mulan', as it premieres on the Disney+ streaming service. It was launched in November 2019 and offers Disney fans both young and old can watch their favourite films from 'The Jungle Book' to 'Toy Story'.But what are people watching on the service? In 10th place is the original ‘Mulan’ animation which is based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan. The 1998 film follows Mulan who must disguise herself as a man to fight the invading Huns in place of her weak father. The live action remake was due for release in March 2020, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic Disney delayed it but made the decision to premiere it on Disney+ in September.
Ninth on the list is Disney Pixar’s ‘Cars’. The 2006 film features racing car Lightning McQueen, voiced by Owen Wilson, who learns life lesson when he damages the small town of Radiator Springs and must repair the damage before he returns to the track. The sequels 'Cars 2' and 'Cars 3' are also available to watch on Disney+.
The Lion King
The 2019 live action remake of tear-jerker ‘The Lion King’ comes in in eighth place on the list. The story follows lion cub Simba who is being trained by his father Mufasa to become King of the Savannah when Mufasa is murdered by his wicked uncle Scar and Simba is forced to leave the Pride Lands. Years later, Simba returns to take back his rightful place. The film stars famous names Beyonce and Seth Rogen.
In sixth place, fans dreamed of flying away on a magic carpet as they chose to watch the 2019 live action remake ‘Aladdin’. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the Disney musical tells the story of street urchin Aladdin, who tries to woo Princess Jasmine, with the help of a Genie, played by Will Smith. When power-hungry Jafar, tries to usurp the king, Jasmine, Aladdin and the Genie must stop him.
Just squeezing into the top five is 2016 animation ‘Moana’, which follows Polynesian chief’s daughter Moana, played by Auli'i Cravalho, who is chosen by the ocean to return the heart of goddess Te Fitti from Maui after the plants and the fish on her island start dying. The film also features the voices of Dwayne Johnson, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement and Nicole Scherzinger.
Far more popular that its original animation, is the 2015 live action remake of ‘Cinderella’. Lily James plays Ella, who finds herself at the mercy of her wicked stepmother and stepsisters when her father unexpectedly dies. But Ella’s fortunes change one night when she meets a handsome stranger at The Royal Ball. The film also stars Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden and Helena Bonham Carter.
Lady and the Tramp
The third most searched for film is the 2019 live action and CGI remake of Disney classic ‘Lady and the Tramp'. The canine romance follows sophisticated cocker spaniel named Lady who runs away from home and meets street-smart, stray schnauzer Tramp. The dogs embark on an adventure together before falling in love. The film stars the voices of Tessa Thompson, Janelle Monáe and Sam Elliott.
High School Musical
In second place is Disney Channel favourite ‘High School Musical’. Fans tuned into the 2006 sing-a-long favourite to see Troy Bolton, played by Zac Efron, and Gabriella Montez, Vanessa Hudgens, fall in love as they gain leads in East High School’s musical and must work together to fit their passion to perform around their other commitments and combat school stereotypes. The sequels, ‘High School Musical 2’ and ‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year’ are also available on the streaming service, for fans who can’t get enough.
