Here we take a look at what the Bake Off winners did next...

Edd Kimber

Edd won the very first series of Bake Off back in 2010.

No one could have predicted the huge success the show would become and it catapulted its stars to fame.

He left behind his career as a debt collector and released four cook books: Say It With Cake, The Boy Who Bakes, Patisserie Made Simple and One Tin Bakes.

Edd, 35, also has his own podcast called Stir The Pot.

Joanne Wheatley

Joanne Wheatley won series two in 2011.

The mum-of-three, 51, put her job as a full-time housewife to one side to compete in the competition.

She has released two cookbooks called A Passion For Baking and Home Baking.

Joanne has written a column in the Sainsbury's magazine and appeared on TV shows like The One Show and The Alan Titchmarsh Show.

John Whaite won the show in 2012 when he was just 23-years-old.

But John, now 31, later said the show "derailed" him and he regretted taking part.

Writing in The Telegraph, he said: "Some days I'd wish I had never been on the show, because in reality, it totally derailed me from a steady lifepath."

In 2019, John told his fans he was stepping away from social media while suffering from a "severe bout of depression".

He had been open in the past about his long-term struggles with mental health.

He's been very active on Twitter since returning and has shared his excitement for the new series of Bake Off.

Frances Quinn

Frances Quinn became the fourth winner of the show in 2013.

She left her career as a children's designer behind and started cooking for celebrities including Jools Holland and Clare Balding.

In 2016 Frances, 38, released her own book, Quintessential Baking.

In May this year it was reported that she had been banned from her local Waitrose for shoplifting.

Leicestershire Police said: "She admitted her involvement to officers and the matter was dealt with by way of a community resolution.”

She also campaigns for charity organisation Love Food Hate Waste in her spare time.

Nancy, 66, also runs her own food blog.

Nadiya Hussain

Perhaps the most famous of all the Bake Off winners, Nadiya was crowned champion in 2015.

The 35-year-old has written several cookbooks, a biography and stories for children.

She's also hosted her own shows, including The Chronicles of Nadiya, Nadiya's British Food Adventure, The Big Family Cooking Showdown and Nadiya's Family Favourites.

In 2016 she was chosen to bake a cake for the Queen's 90th birthday.

She was given an MBE in December last year.

Nadiya has also been brutally honest about her mental health battles as a life-long anxiety sufferer.

Candice Brown

Candice Brown won Bake Off in 2016.

After her win she left her job as a teacher to focus on baking full time.

She has written newspaper columns and made several appearances on ITV's This Morning.

Candice, 35, was caught up in controversy when she was seen embracing Paul Hollywood after the Pride of Britain Awards in 2017.

Her win was slighted ruined when new judge Prue Leith mistakenly revealed she'd been crowned the champ before it had aired on TV.

The following year she released her own cookbook called Something Sweet.

She also started her own buisness, Sophie Faldo Couture Cakes.

Sophie, 36, admitted she struggled to cope with her new fame, telling the Radio Times: "I have experienced some dark times.

"You're expected to do a lot of stuff as a Bake Off winner, and if you don't meet those targets or do what everyone expects you to do, you're considered to be a bit of a failure and I had to remind myself what was important to me."

Rahul Mandal

Rahul Mandal won the ninth series of Bake Off in 2018.

As well as launching his baking career, he also works as an engineering researcher at the University of Sheffield's Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.

He worked as a columnist for The Times and also makes appearances on This Morning.

Unlike the other Bake Off stars, Rahul, 33, is yet to release a cookbook.

David Atherton

David Atherton won the most recent series of Bake Off in 2019.

His win caused controversy as he is the only winner to have not won star baker.

The 37-year-old gave up his job as a health advisor to star in the show.

Earlier this year he brought out his own children's cookbook, My First Cookbook.
