Has a new time-traveller entered the fray?Ant-Man and the Wasp's upcoming sequel has cast Da 5 Bloods and Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors as a significant MCU villain.
Marvel and Crazy Rich Asians' Gemma Chan (who we still remember from Channel 4's Humans) has signed up to join Olivia Wilde's upcoming psychological thriller, Don't Worry Darling.

Gemma is joining an already impressive cast including Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, and Wilde herself, according to The Hollywood Reporter. If Beale Street Could Talk's KiKi Layne is also on board, taking over from Dakota Johnson.

Quite the departure from her feature-length directorial debut Booksmart, Olivia Wilde's Don't Worry Darling will be set in 1950s California, where the disturbing truth about a utopian community is uncovered by a housewife.

Florence Pugh is set to star as said housewife, whose perfect life in the Californian desert is upturned by the discovery.
Gemma Chan and KiKi Layne aren't the only newcomers to Don't Worry Darling, with Harry Styles' signing only confirmed last month. The former One Direction star is believed to be replacing Shia LaBeouf, who pulled out of the movie due to scheduling conflicts.

Fans can expect to see Gemma Chan on the big screen in Marvel's Eternals, where she'll play Sersi. The long-awaited Phase Four movie recently had its release date pushed back, but we've been promised it'll be worth the wait.
Eternals will arrive in cinemas on November 5, 2021. You can also see Gemma Chan in Captain Marvel, which is out now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download.
