Mike Flanagan's back as showrunner – though has not directed any episodes – offering a guiding hand over proceedings.

Christopher Robin will become the latest character from a children's book to appear on a 50p coin, the Royal Mint has announced.

The nostalgic coins, which can be purchased from the Mint's website, have been released a century after the birth of the original Christopher Robin, the son of Winnie the Pooh author AA Milne, who inspired his stories.

The new 50p, which are priced from £10 for a uncirculated version to £1,125 for a gold coin, is the second coin to be released in the Mint's Winnie the Pooh and Friends series.

The coin depicts Christopher Robin walking down the stairs alongside Winnie the Pooh and is illustrated using a watercolour technique the Mint developed for the first coin in the collection, Winnie the Pooh.

Christopher Froggatt: Meet Britain's latest rising GT star After some stunning recent performances in the GT World Challenge Europe series, we meet Britain's latest rising starThe name Christopher Froggatt isn't immediately familiar in the way that his Tempesta Racing team-mate, two-time grand prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella is. But that's perhaps to be expected given that that the 26-year-old Briton only started his motorsport journey four years ago after being encouraged by Eddie Cheever Jr - son of the 1998 Indianapolis 500 winner Eddie Sr - on a trackday to pursue his natural flair for driving.

The Mint's product designer Daniel Thorne worked on both the Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin coin, in close collaboration with Disney.

He said: 'Taking an original illustration from a full page of a storybook and condensing it down to the perimeter of a 50p, yet not taking away the essence of the story is a difficult feat but working with the original illustrations has been an amazing opportunity to bring those stories to life in a brand new way.

'The popularity of our childhood character coins is no surprise, they allow us a great opportunity to introduce a sense of nostalgia coupled with a splash of colour to make these coins real collector's items.'

The Haunting of Bly Manor release date, trailer, news, and more on Hill House season 2 Here's everything we know about The Haunting of Hill House season 2, including potential release date and more There's been a disturbance in the force. Almost every major movie which was set for release in 2020 has been pushed back until 2021, meaning our list of upcoming movies is shifting around like sand in a desert storm. It's a struggle to keep up! Most recently, Disney and Warner Bros. decided to delay their superhero movies, Black Widow and Wonder Woman 1984. Looks like Universal had the right idea in early 2020 when they decided to immediately move Fast 9 back a year. That seemed extreme at the time – now it feels like common sense.

Today on Total Coins , we will be carrying on with our 50 p coin hunt series, looking for rare and commemorative coins to fill our collectors album.

Clare MacLennan, divisional director for commemorative coin and the Royal Mint Experience, said: 'We have seen the success of our childhood character coins grow year-on-year and with endearing and appealing themes including the Gruffalo, Peter Rabbit and now Winnie the Pooh and Friends.'

It comes just a month after Winnie the Pooh was pictured on a 50p coin with a jar of honey.

The much-loved bear, known for his love of honey and who first appeared in the iconic book series in 1926, followed Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear and the Gruffalo onto the face of the 50p coins.

Following its release, the Royal Mint confirmed the series would feature nine coins celebrating the inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood, with the coins of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin and Piglet being released in 2020.

Freaky review: "Vince Vaughn’s body-swap horror is an unexpected delight" .
Vince Vaughn’s body-swap horror Freaky is an unexpected delight thanks to its two leads and expertly executed actionFreaky’s supporting cast excels, but it’s the two leads who cut the deepest. Post-swap, Newton revels in the role of remorseless, single-minded serial killer, finding the link between horror and humour necessary for the film to work as well as it does. The Blissfield Butcher’s struggle to adapt his brute-force style to his newfound petite body provides genuine laughs. Newton’s unflinching, menacing glare also spawns surprising moments of empathy when it comes to certain characters’ (near-)deserved comeuppances.
