  Fox orders The Masked Dancer with host Craig Robinson Fox has given the green light for a new reality competition series entitled The Masked Dancer, based on the network's smash hit series The Masked Singer. Craig Robinson will serve as the host of the upcoming series, according to a Fox press release, with the show slated to debut in December.Robinson will be joined by a quartet of panelists, Ken Jeong (who also stars on The Masked Singer and hosts Fox's I Can See Your Voice), Brian Austin Green, Paula Abdul and Ashley Tisdale.

The acting legend will star alongside Mackenzie Crook, Vanessa Redgrave and Shirley Henderson in the upcoming one-hour special called 'Saucy Nancy', following the success of the two-part Boxing Day special last year with Zoë Wanamaker and Michael Palin.

Speaking to Radio Times magazine, Mackenzie said: “The fact that such brilliant people said yes to the first two episodes, people can look at that cast and go, ‘I’d like to be in that club,’ so it gets easier to cast great people.”

The special episode will see the scarecrow reunite with his young pals Susan and John - played by India Brown and Thierry Wickens - as they go on a new adventure to the coast.

She said:  “I had to keep at it many times a day so it wouldn’t be a struggle when we came to film it. The other characters’ lines don’t latch onto what you’re about to say. There’s no thread. So I had to use a lot of repetition to learn it.”

Speaking about the new instalment, Mackenzie previously said: “I’m excited and grateful to be making a new episode of 'Worzel Gummidge' after a difficult year for everyone.

"We’re heading out of Scatterbrook for this story, on a day trip to the seaside, some fresh air and some wide open space.”
