Good Morning Britain presenters Piers, 55, and Susanna, 49, shared tributes to Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, as they spoke about the Duchess’ personal account shared in the New York Times.

After reading out sections of her essay, Piers said: “Deeply new revelation, it happened in July – very sad news, obviously, for her and Prince Harry.

Speaking on her show on Wednesday morning, Lorraine Kelly said how Meghan opening up about her miscarriage would help a lot of people.

Referring to her own devastating miscarriage she suffered when she was younger, she said: "Just seeing this this morning, it was almost exactly the same.

"What really helped me was obviously being able to talk to you and being able to talk to other people and also Rosie, because she was only about six.

"And I know that she's a lot younger than that, but that will really help having another child to focus on.
