Entertainment Tess Daly responds to Vernon Kay's 'third wheel' shower scene as I'm a Celebrity fans tease 'jealousy'

Tess Daly has responded to Vernon Kay "feeling left out" of Jordan North's shower in last night's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

The latest episode saw Shane Richie washing himself, with Vernon operating the water pump.

They were joined in the shower room by Jordan North, who saw an opportunity for a laugh.

He was seen stripping down to his trunks before getting into the bathtub with the soap star.

The pair showered together whilst laughing, with Vernon admitting he felt "like a gooseberry."

The scene comes after he had his own "cheeky" moment with Jordan earlier in the ITV series.

It led I'm a Celebrity fans to tease last night that the Family Fortunes host was "a bit jealous."

They shared memes on Twitter which joked that Vernon had wanted to join in his campmates.

One suggested that he was "pretending [he wasn't] feeling left out of the two man shower."

Others said the TV presenter was now the "third wheel," following his bromance with Jordan.

"How much did Vernon want to get in and be shower buddies with [them]?," tweeted one fan.

And they weren't alone in teasing that the 46-year-old was feeling left out of the shower scene.

Vernon's wife Tess Daly also took to social media following the interaction in last night's episode.

In a post on her Instagram story, she shared photos of the shower moment with laughing faces.

The Strictly Come Dancing host said: "What happens in the man shower stays in the man shower."

In a follow-up post, the 51-year-old teased that her husband had the fear of missing out (FOMO).

Alongside a picture of Vernon smiling during the scene, she captioned: "Got fomo @vernonkay?"
