Chloe Khan and Stephen Bear have paid tribute to their Celebrity Big Brother co-star Heavy D after his shock death.

It was announced on Wednesday that the larger-than-life TV star, who made a name for himself on the U.K. version of Storage Hunters, had passed away at the age of 47.

Chloe and Stephen both grew close to Heavy, real name Colin Newell, in the Big Brother house in the summer of 2016.

Sharing a photo of the pair on her Instagram Stories, Chloe wrote: "I was very saddened to see the news earlier. Can't get you out of my mind now @heavydboom. rest peacefully. This guys had the loudest laugh and the biggest smiles. We never know what's going on behind closed door. Wow."

Tension has been brewing for days between Renee Graziano and PDA- heavy lovebirds Stephen Bear and Chloe Khan .

She added broken heart and sad face emojis.

Bear also posted a photo of the two in the CBB house, and told fans he was absolutely gutted to hear his friend had passed.

"The funniest and most genuine person you would ever meet," he continued. "Always laughing and had such a kind heart . Always wanted to make sure everyone was ok and when you was down he would come over make sure your ok. Had the pleasure to live with you but now I feel was there something I could of done. It's always the real ones that leave too early . Rip my brother . See you soon @heavydboom (sic)."

Gogglebox's Sandra Martin paid her respects too.

"He never seemed upset. He was his daily laughing self with me," she told Mirror Online. "I always like and comment on his Instagram posts.

"He was my celebrity best mate, we bounced off each other."

Heavy's cause of death has not yet been revealed, but a relative reportedly told The Sun the family fear it might be linked to Covid-19.

Friends are thought to have raised the alarm because the TV personality hadn't been seen or heard from in over a week.
