Markle noted how, on one day in July, she had just changed the nappy of her one-year-old son, Archie, when she felt a ‘sharp cramp’.

‘I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second,' she wrote. The revelation marked the first time the 38-year-old had spoken openly about her miscarriage.

The model recently opened up about her experience of losing her son, Jack, pre-term at 20 weeks.
