Taskmaster's Greg Davies was in utter disbelief during tonight's episode (December 3) of the Channel 4 show after every celebrity contestant managed to get themselves disqualified in the same task.

Properly reading and remembering the rules has been a bit of an issue for this series' celebrities, with more than a handful of disqualifications having been handed out over the past seven episodes.

Just last week, Davies threatened to disqualify comedian Mawaan Rizwan from the entire series for his "lazy" attempt at a marble run task.

But it was a different ball game altogether this week, as Mawaan, Daisy May Cooper, Johnny Vegas, Katherine Parkinson and Richard Herring all managed to break one rather simple rule.

With a cup suspended on a long bendy pole above a circular red carpet, the celebrities were tasked with filling the vessel with liquid until it overflowed. However, they were not allowed to stand on the red rug or touch it with any object other than water.

While some of the celebrities made a genuinely good attempt at filling the cup from a safe distance, all of them, at one stage or another, ended up breaking that crucial rule.

Daisy was instantly disqualified after dropping the rule sheet straight on the rug, Mawaan accidentally stepped on it, Johnny dropped a massive hammer on it, Katherine threw a hula hoop on it, and Richard flat out stood in the middle of it.

Back in the studio, Greg expressed his disdain for the entire line-up, saying: "Never in the history of the whole show, have I felt contempt for all of them.

"It's a sad day for everyone here. I think we'll just have a couple of moments of silence."

Taskmaster continues next Thursday (December 10) at 9pm on Channel 4.
