Vernon Kay's sweet daughters have baked him I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! themed cookies to welcome him home from Gwrych Castle.

Phoebe, 16, and 11 year old Amber's mum Tess Daly took to her Instagram story to share a snap of the final product with her 673,000 followers.

The snap showed 27 star-shaped cookies laid out on a marble kitchen counter, which spelled out 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!'

It comes as the Strictly Come Dancing host recently showed off the big food haul she did in Waitrose ahead of her husband's return from North Wales.

Tess, who shared her daughters' sweet reaction when their dad spoke to them on the show, revealed that after three weeks of living off mainly a rice and beans diet, Vernon, 46, has lost 30 pounds in weight.

And so, Tess is making sure the fridge is packed with all of Vernon’s favourite food as she wrote on Instagram: "Vern told me he’s lost 30lbs in weight.

“So I’ve been shopping to get some of his fave foods ready for his return… mostly meat, chocolate, and of course his favourite @yorkshiretea bags."

Vernon came in third place on I’m A Celeb, with Radio 1 DJ Jordan North coming in second place and Giovanna Fletcher becoming the very first Queen of the Castle.

As he came third on Friday night, Tess took to her Instagram feed to share several images of him while in Gwrych Castle.

In the caption, she wrote: "LOVE YOU VERN," followed by a red heart emoji and spark emoji. "What a rollercoaster... he went in wanting to make us proud, and he made us beyond proud!!
