7 of Line Of Duty’s Superintendent Ted Hastings’ best moments
Mother of God, fella, Line of Duty is back on our TV screens and Superintendent Ted Hastings (like the battle) will surely be back with more incredible Ted-isms for us all to enjoy. The Northern Irish police officer, played by Adrian Dunbar, is often keen to sprinkle some local idioms and phrases to make all the formal police talk (with its many acronyms and initialisms) appear livelier. We saw it in the first episode of series six last week, when Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott was desperate for Hastings to open up an inquiry into the latest suspected bent copper, Detective Chief Inspector Joanne Davidson.
Responding, Adrian said: "I know, and a lot of Line of Duty fans know."

Pressing again, Adil asked: "Are you saying there's been a big clue so far that people haven't caught onto?"
"Yes, there's been a very big clue, this is the scoop," Adrian said.
Adding: "As the first guest back on this show I am giving you a massive scoop.
