Coldplay ’s new single , Higher Power , is out now via Parlophone / Atlantic. I can't help feeling a tad alienated (if you'll excuse the pun) with regard to the new era. Like when AHFOD was released, only a bit better this time because EL gave me confidence that they can still be great - if, like @nvdmmsaid above, they choose to. Not gonna lie, even if there are parts of the song that I like (e.g. the Eastern Asian chant vibes and the intro, and some other bits), I can't help but feel it's not the same band as the one I fell in love with.
