The Pursuit of Love begins tonight (May 9) on BBC One, kicking off a three-episode mini-series that adapts the titular 1945 novel from Nancy Mitford.

Two direct follow-up novels, ermm, followed, while the author released another book with connections to the main trilogy as well. Of course, stars Lily James and Emily Beecham want to adapt them.

While Lily's character Linda Radlett doesn't appear beyond this first novel, she serves as executive producer on the show, so she's still got a reason to want to do more.

"We've got to keep going," the Mamma Mia! star told Radio Times. "You can't leave Fanny there. It would be a crime.

"I think you fall so in love with her and you see her and you leave her at this point where you just have to know what happens next, but I suppose it will depend on how this is perceived and how people enjoy it."

Fanny Logan is Beecham's character, and the actress echoed Lily's sentiment about wanting more, adding that "We're yet to see really, you never know."
