Bridges' new project is titled End of the Road, and he'll be starring alongside Queen Latifah in the leading role. She will also serve as an executive producer.

Reacting to the news on Instagram, Bridges wrote: "The hustle NEVER stops! #NewMovieAlert #EndOfTheRoad coming to @netflix with @QueenLatifah!"

End of the Road will see Latifah's character Brenda facing a tough time – she is recently widowed and loses her job.

She decides to drive her family across the country to start a new life in the New Mexico desert. Far away from help, the family is forced to learn to fight back when they become targets of a mysterious killer.

Greenleaf star Beau Bridges has also signed on to star in the project, while Millicent Shelton will direct. Shelton has a huge list of TV directing credits including 30 Rock, The Walking Dead, Girlfriends, Empire and Black-ish.

The script is being written by David Loughery, who penned the Meagan Good and Michael Ealy thriller The Intruder. Loughery's script will be based on an original screenplay by Christopher Moore.

End of the Road will air on Netflix.
