Hollyoaks announces return for Zara Morgan after 15 years
Kelly Condron is back as Luke's sister.Zara was last seen in the village back in 2005. Nearly 16 years after she headed to Thailand to pursue charity work, she's now making her comeback with the first episode of her return airing on Wednesday, August 4 on E4.
Hollyoaks star Kelly Condron has discussed her return to the hit Channel 4 soap as Zara Morgan after 16 years.
The actress', 39, character Zara made her first appearance in 1999 and she left the Chester village in 2005 to head to Thailand to work for a charity.
It was announced earlier this week that Zara, the sister of Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy), would be returning to Hollyoaks with her debut teased in the soap's summer trailer.
Eco-warrior Zara will arrive back in the Chester village to attend the funeral of her mother Sue after learning about the service on social media where she will reconnect with brother Luke.

He is joined by It's a Sin star Chris Jenkins.This is Imran's first project after leaving his role as Mitchell Drinkwell-Deveraux on the Channel 4 soap last November.

And now Kelly has discussed her reprisal of Zara and admitted that she even kept it a secret from her own children ahead of the announcement.
Talking toprior to the reveal, the actress said: "My children don't even know. You can't tell a 10 year old something and ask him to keep it a secret that's just cruel.
"It's going to be quite funny when he finds out. He's either going to think it's the coolest thing in the world and I'll be the cool mum for the week or he's just not going to be bothered.

Is she bringing more harm than good?Hollyoaks has shared a clip of Katie McGlynn's first scenes on the Chesire-based soap.
"I've been coaching 14 to 18 year olds so I'm sure they'll have something to say when they see I'm going back to Hollyoaks."
While she toldof her return: "It's brilliant and I'm having an absolute ball. It's fantastic to be back on set. A lot of the crew are still the same and some of the old cast members are still there too.
"It was during lockdown that I got a call to say that they were thinking about this and they asked if I'd be interested. I have actually been asked to come back to Hollyoaks before, but it's never quite worked out because it's never been the right time for me.
"The show's new producer Lucy Allan had just come on board and there was a new team, with some really exciting storylines planned. When I found out all of that information, it wasn't something that I could turn down, to be quite honest."

"It could all work out really lovely"Although Rhiannon's character is currently busy plotting her revenge against fiancé Brody Hudson over his role in her father's death, there's every chance Summer is thinking about what will happen next between her and Sienna.
Hollyoaks revealed that Kelly would be returning to the soap as Zara Morgan earlier this week on their official Instagram.
Posting pictures of the actress in character, the soap penned: "CAST ANNOUNCEMENT Look who’s back! It’s only @kellycondronvoiceover aka THE Zara Morgan!
"We last saw Zara in 2005, but she’s making her return to the village this summer! Catch a first glimpse of Zara’s return in the #HollyoaksSummerTrailer tomorrow at 5pm and make sure you give Kelly the biggest welcome back ever! #Hollyoaks #WelcomeHome #LookWhosBack."
Hollyoaks continues on weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4 and 7pm on E4.
