In February, it was reported that Paramount+ was preparing to bring back the long-running CBS crime drama, a year after the original series ended.

But on Twitter on Friday (July 30), original cast member Paget Brewster responded to a fan who asked if there was any update on the revival.

"No, and sadly, we think it's dead," Paget replied. "I'll let you know if there is any progress but it seems unlikely. Which is a bummer."
