star has called the situation leading to her exit from the soap "disappointing" but has insisted she is not "apologetic".
Earlier this week, Dunn – who has playedsince the character's 1996 debut – confirmed her exit from the Channel 4 soap following a dispute with show bosses over her decision to join adult social media site .
The actress met with Hollyoaks bosses to discuss the matter, but ultimately no resolution was reached. Dunn said previously her decision to share content on OnlyFans was "about empowerment and confidence and having full power".

Now, reflecting on her exit, Sarah Jayne has admitted that she will miss "the amazing cast and crew". "I'm disappointed it has come to this, after so many years," she told.
"I've loved being on Hollyoaks and I will miss the amazing cast and crew very much. But I feel like I had to take a stand. For me this is about having the right as a woman of 40 years old to decide what is right for me."
Dunn went on to insist that she did not feel "apologetic". "The pictures I've put on OnlyFans are no more explicit than the sort of things I've done in the past for magazines – and even for Hollyoaks' own official calendar," she added.

As well as joining OnlyFans to regain control over her own image, Dunn suggested that there were financial incentives, too.
"There's a huge misconception that people on TV shows earn huge amounts of money. It just isn't the case," she explained. "People talk about massive six-figure salaries, but the reality is that if your character isn't in a big storyline for a while you can end up struggling some months."
