The actor Alec Baldwin has been sued by Mamie Mitchell, the script supervisor on, after the fatal shooting of on the New Mexico film set.
Ms Mitchell says witnessing the killing of her friend had “taken away the joy in my life”, telling a press conference on Wednesday: “I relive the shooting and the sound of the explosion from the gun over and over again. I’m depressed, I don’t feel safe. I feel like at any moment anything could happen to me, and to those that I care about.”
Her lawsuit, filed in LA County Superior Court, accuses the actor of “assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and deliberate infliction of harm” by shooting the gun while Ms Mitchell “was in the line of fire” next to Ms Hutchins.

The script supervisor is represented by the high-profile attorney, who said that the film set shooting “did not constitute simple negligence on Alec Baldwin’s part.”
Ms Allred said: “In our opinion, Mr Baldwin chose to play Russian roulette when he fired a gun without checking it, with others in his presence.”
Ms Mitchell was standing with colleagues behind the camera on the set of the indie Western on 21 October when Mr Baldwin, who was rehearsing a gun-shooting scene, discharged a live round, killing Ms Hutchins and wounding direct Joel Souza.

Mr Baldwin, who was also a producer on the film, is named in the suit alongside the other producers.
Ms Mitchell is seeking “compensatory and punitive damages” for the “physical and emotional harm” she suffered “because of what she heard, saw and experienced”.
The film worker also gave her account of the moments before and after the shooting.
She told the press conference: “I saw Alec going through his movement with the gun for the camera. I was holding my script in my left hand and I’d taken on my iPhone and opened up my photos to check the continuity on his shirt, and then there was a deafeningly loud gunshot. I was stunned.

She added: “I gave my statement to law enforcement and drove home. When someone notified me that she was dead, I stood in my driveway screaming.”
Mr Baldwin, who has described the shooting as a tragic accident, is yet to respond to the lawsuit.
Earlier this month, he shared a social media post from a Rust crew member that described reports of “unsafe, chaotic conditions” on set as “bulls**t”.
