Co-written by Robert Shaw's son Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon, the 90-minute play reveals the hilarious and moving behind-the-scenes drama on Steven Spielberg's iconic blockbuster Jaws.

The Shark is Broken recently extended its theatre run at London's Ambassadors Theatre to February 13, 2022. Tickets are on sale now from the likes of ATG Tickets, LOVEtheatre and London Theatre Direct.

Directed by Guy Masterson, The Shark is Broken sees Ian Shaw play his father Robert Shaw alongside Liam Murray as Richard Dreyfuss and Demetri Goritsas as Roy Scheider.

Set across one night at Martha's Vineyard in 1974, shooting has stalled on Jaws which leaves the three lead actors stranded on a boat. At the mercy of foul weather and a faulty mechanical shark, the three actors – awash with alcohol and ambition – start to bare their teeth.

The play is one of several movie-inspired shows you can see right now in London, including Back to the Future: The Musical, Moulin Rouge! and The Prince of Egypt.
