Matty Lee's family has voiced hopes that he will get more screen time on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as have viewers who have barely seen the star on the show.

Since its launch, this year's ITV series has entertained viewers with Naughty Boy and Arlene Phillips' frustrations towards the Main Camp, Richard Madeley's swearing, and a series of gruesome trials.

However, while other campmates have been heavily featured on the show, Olympic diver Matty has barely been seen - and family, friends and fans have noticed his lack of airtime.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday evening, the 23 year old's family shared a clip of him winning Gold at the Olympics earlier this year with his diving partner Tom Daley as they urged bosses to show more of him on the Ant and Dec fronted series.

"Ok, so we are posting this because… well… because it's just bloody brilliant and a golden moment from 2021 and we love Matty & @tomdaley," they began in the caption.

It was continued: "Hopefully, we are going to see more and more of Matty on @imacelebrity in the coming days but what is certain is that he will need everyone's support.

"So, whatever your reason for loving and supporting him, if you can, please continue voting for him to do a trial and, most importantly, to stay in the castle when that voting starts.

"Matty is supported by so many different groups of people and he has always loved that. If you can continue with that over the next 2.5 weeks, that would be truly amazing guys xxx," it was concluded.
