Denis Villeneuve has penned a heartfelt tribute to fellow film director Jean-Marc Vallée, who died suddenly of a heart attack on Saturday (26.12.21).The French-Canadian filmmaker - who has directed movies such as ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and ‘Dune’ – wrote a heartfelt tribute to fellow helmer Vallée following his sudden death on Boxing Day (26.12.21) aged 58 after he suffered a heart attack at his cabin in Quebec City.
BBC Breakfast hosts, and Ben Thompson was joined by rock and roll musician Suzie Quatro on Saturday morning as she paid tribute to the late rock and roll legend Meat Loaf. The musician died on Thursday as Suzie reminisced on fond memories of the singer and looked back on how many legendary musicians were taken "too soon".
Introducing Suzie to the show, Ben asked: "Suzie, have you been turning up the music pretty loud and listening?"
Suzie explained: "Yeah, I think when something like this happens, you tend to immerse yourself in the legacy.
"I was watching the documentary, and I called my husband directly after and found myself saying, 'Wow, what a talent.'

"He was, it's so funny as a woman, he wasn't what you call good looking but yet he was gorgeous, he had something about him, he had charisma, he bought theatre to the stage.
"He was what I call a rock and roll entertainer, wow, what a legacy, he was a nice man, that's the whole thing a nice, nice man and yeah, it's sad."
Ben said: "Suzie, as you said, an actor, an entertainer and a musician, and you'll know this it's very hard to be good at all of those things, isn't it?"
Suzie agreed and revealed: "It is and I kind of have an infinity with Meat Loaf because I am a rock and roll entertainer myself, I've also done film and West End, so I know the area he's coming from.

"And there is a certain sadness at times like this, of course, the passing of a great talent," Ben continued.
"But it's often at times like this that we look back, and we get a real sense of how much they achieved and what they contributed.
"It reminds us of all these amazing stories and the things that we as a public may not normally get to hear, how will you remember him, what legacy does he leave?
Suzie admitted: "For me, I will remember him doing those fabulous songs with all their power and grit and rock and roll and seeing his little boy's face.

"Am very sorry for his family, friends and fans, am I imagining it of are amazing people in the arts dying every other day."
Bonnie Tyler wrote: "I am shocked & saddened by the sudden death of Meat Loaf, he was, as you might imagine, a larger than life character with a voice & stage presence to match.
"[He] is one of those rare people who truly was a one-off talent and personality. Rest in Peace." (sic)
