Former Page 3 model Sam Fox has revealed she was in tears when she was given the all-clear after a recent cancer scare where doctors found a lump in her throat.
The TV star, 56, who married her partner of six years last month, has spoken about her relief to be told the 10mm growth removed from her throat was a benign polyp.
Sam told The Sun: “I really cried a lot. I’m such a positive person but it’s hard when you’ve got something like that hanging over you. I was very fearful.”
Sam lost her manager and ex-fiancée Myra Stratton in August 2015 after a cancer battle and she spoke out about how the experience brought it all back.

“It felt very close to home, because I cared for Myra for so long after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. I saw her go down and down and down for two years," she shared. “I watched her waste away and saw the amount of drugs she was on.
“That was seven years ago, but when I was waiting for my results it felt like yesterday. All of the memories came flooding back.
“My mum, who had breast cancer and came through it, told me not to think about the worst-case scenario.”
Sam added: “When my doctor finally gave me the all-clear I had this incredible feeling of relief. I was with my mum and my wife Linda, and we were all very emotional.

“They were telling me to stop crying in case I damaged my vocal cords. Then I was texting all my nearest and dearest – everyone – to say I was cancer-free. It was a wonderful day.”

Sam married her partner Linda Olsen in a lavish ceremony in Epping Forest, Essex, last month.
The pair got engaged in March 2020 and were due to get married the same year, however, due to Covid they had to reschedule.
The couple met in 2016, following the tragic death of Sam's former partner of 12 years, Myra, from cancer.
Linda and Sam previously discussed their upcoming marriage with OK! in 2021, saying: “We’re both crazy about each other.”

“I don’t want to be with anyone else in my life.”
Sam also paid tribute to her previous partner, Myra, saying: “During the time Myra was ill, she always said, ‘I really want you to meet someone when I’m gone as I know you’d hate to be on your own’."
She also revealed that it was Linda who proposed to her, and she even got down on one knee.
