Britney Spears' kids think mum is cool after VMAs return

Britney Spears' kids think mum is cool after VMAs return Britney Spears picked up a few cool points from her sons after performing with G-Eazy at the MTV Video Music Awards. The singer's return to the awards show after a 10-year performance absence wasn't exactly the hit of the night, but Britney's kids were impressed when mum was joined onstage by one of their favourite rappers for a rendition of her Make Me and his Me, Myself and I tracks. "We wanted to do something different, something I've never done before, so that was probably the coolest thing we could come up with," Spears told U.S. radio host Elvis Duran on Monday (29Aug16). "He's (G-Eazy) so sweet! He's got a lot of swag, he's got the whole cool thing going on. "I got to do some of his song and so it just made it more interesting for me. My kids think he's fricking cool! They're like, 'Mum! You're cool now!' I'm like, 'Thanks!' That's all I had to do!" Britney's performance at Sunday's (28Aug16) VMAs came just two days after the release of her latest album, Glory, which she told Duran is one of the most important projects she has ever worked on. "I've spent so much time on this record it means a lot to me," she explained. "I think that now that I'm older, I'm more up to experiment more and I'm more creative with the people just to try different things because I've been doing it for a while now, so it's fun to change it up.

Britney Spears paid tribute to singer Selena Gomez for being an inspiration.

The 34-year-old released her ninth album last month (Aug16), and dismissed claims she has made a 'comeback' to music. "I don't really see it as a comeback. I've been here for a really long time," she quipped.

Britney, who performed for the first time in five years in the U.K. on Tuesday (27Sep16), also confessed Glory was inspired by Selena Gomez's recent Revival tour.

"I just love her music. I think she's really great. So I was really, really inspired by her work," Britney said of the Hands to Myself hitmaker.

The mother-of-two wowed the crowd at the Apple Music Festival in London, performing hits including Baby One More Time and Oops!.. I Did it Again at the Roundhouse music venue on Tuesday. The star-studded crowd, which included Rita Ora, Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw and model Daisy Lowe, were treated to a high-energy show from the pop queen, who narrowly avoided an embarrassing fall on-stage after performing a back-flip.

Britney Spears won't listen to her own songs

Britney Spears won't listen to her own songs Britney Spears doesn't listen to her own music. The 34-year-old singer is currently enjoying a musical comeback thanks to her Piece of Me Las Vegas residency and recently released ninth studio album Glory. When it comes to rating her own tunes, Britney relies on other people to give her their verdict, as she always steers clear of listening to her own offerings. "It’s funny, because I don’t really listen to my music," she told Flaunt magazine. "My kids do and my nieces do. I’m about the creative process. I’m in the moment of being creative and then I put it out there. Of course, I sing my songs every night (at my residency) and I have to listen to it that way, but I’m all about change. And new. And forthcoming. "But, there is a part of me in my music and I hope, for my fans, that they can have that part of me when they hear me on the radio, or buy my CD, or whatever they do." Britney has been in show business since the tender age of five, and has enjoyed a successful, and often colourful, career ever since. The mother-of-two admits that throughout her time in the spotlight, she has always struggled with anxiety - something stars including Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez have also recently opened up about. "Oh, I’m so weird. I get nervous in a lot of situations," Britney told the publication. "Parties, clubs. When there are a lot of people around, I’m a weird, anxiety-ridden person.

The gig comes a month after Britney released her ninth studio album, and she wanted to make her latest musical offering really different.

"I feel like it's been a while since I brought new music to the table," she explained. "I didn't want to do a typical pop record for this. I wanted to do something really different."

Britney, who is currently at the helm of a hugely successful Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort, also revealed who would be her dream musical collaborator.

"I love Steven Tyler; he's great. He's like rock'n'roll man, like just crazy cool. I think he exudes sex and electricity and you're just like a magnet when you get next to him," she said.

"I would love to work with Lenny Kravitz. I think he's great; he's a legend," Britney added.

Britney Spears was on Loose Women and it was brilliant viewing .
"Are you guys really Loose Women?" UmmmmIt's not every day we get to see Britney Spears appear on daytime television, but today's Loose Women was an absolute treat thanks to a brilliant, if slightly bizarre, episode featuring Brit.
