Google Pixels will get transcription support for call screenings before the end of the year Users will be able to save transcriptions of phone calls later this year. Currently, when Google Assistant picks up a spam call, users can only watch transcriptions in real time as the conversation is happening. Once the call is over, there’s no way for a user to revisit the conversation. A Call Screen product manager on Google’s support forums confirmed last week that the feature will be launching later this year, and transcripts will be automatically saved in the Call Log once the call has ended, in the Call Details section.

In the first move of it's kind, the banking group's customers, including those with Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland, will be able to see the precise location they made payments, along with the details of their debit card transactions.

Lloyds is introducing this feature, amongst others, in the hope that it will bring customers peace of mind and help them manage their money - as well as protecting their accounts against fraud.

The service is currently being rolled out for Android customers with it due to be available for iOS customers early on next year.

Google is increasing its efforts in India after it snapped up the team behind popular transportation app 'Where is my Train.' The app claims 10 million registered users and, as the name suggests, it helps commuters track arrivals and departures as well as buying seats. That's no small job given that India is estimated to operate some 14,000 trains on a daily basis across the country.
