Donald Trump threatened Tuesday to suspend US contribution to World Health Organization (WHO), denouncing his management of the pandemic of coronavirus and an attitude that was too favorable to him in Beijing.

"We are going to suspend (the payment) of sums intended for the WHO", declared the president of USA during his daily press briefing from the White House.

A few minutes later, however, he backed off in some confusion, saying that he only wanted to explore this possibility.

"I'm not saying I'm going to do it, but we're going to look into it," he said, contradicting his initial statement.
