As well as the notes, Ozzie also threw up a plastic money bag and a circular money clip.

Mr Wright said that with the money Ozzie ate and the cost of seeing the vet, they were almost £300 out of pocket.

However, he said they may be able to claim some of the money back by taking the notes to the Bank of England.
