When teenager Devyn Greer was walking along Huntington Beach in California, she had no idea what she would stumble upon.

"I was walking back from the water and I saw something pretty shiny," Devyn told Inside Edition. "I really didn't know what to do, being 15, finding a ring that big."

So Devyn's mom posted about her daughter's find on a local Facebook page, asking for the ring's owner to private message her.

Just 15 miles away, Zuly Schober couldn't believe what she was reading — because she had lost a ring on that very beach 11 years ago.

Schober was enjoying a day at Huntington Beach with her husband, Patrick, over a decade ago, only to discover her wedding ring was no longer on her finger by the time she returned home.

The mom went back to the beach several times to search for her ring but no luck. She and Patrick believed the precious ring was gone forever.

"I just assumed we would not see that ring again," Patrick said.

Wife Reunited With Wedding Ring She Lost 11 Years Ago Thanks to Facebook Post © Provided by CBS Interactive Inc. Zuly Schober had accepted that the precious ring she lost on the beach was gone forever. So when Zuly read that Facebook post from Devyn's mom, she hoped for the best.

"What I thought was, 'What do I have to lose?' It's either gonna be my ring — which would be amazing — or it's not," she said.

Zuly sent an old photo of her wedding ring to Devyn's mom to see if what the teen found was hers. And to her surprise, it was her long-lost jewelry.

"I was excited, I was nervous, I was laughing like a crazy person," Zuly said.

Inside Edition was there for the moment Devyn reunited Zuly with her wedding ring. The thankful mom gave the teen a big hug.

"I so appreciate it," Zuly told Devyn.

"You're so welcome, you deserve it," Devyn replied.

A scuba diver found a 59-year-old class ring at the bottom of a pond. Then the search began for its owner..
After picking up the ring underwater, the scuba diver excitedly swam to the surface and took a closer look. The insignia on the ring read "Gate of Heaven" and the initials "WJW."
