With snow on the ground during the graduation ceremony at the University of Colorado in Boulder on Thursday, many students just couldn't resist launching the odd snowball at their classmates. Video footage showed icy projectiles flying around even as students walked up to the stage to graduate .

A little snow couldn't stop these college students from celebrating their graduation.

A surprise snowstorm made things pretty chilly at the spring commencement ceremony for the University of Colorado Boulder on Thursday. Some grads even accessorized their caps and gowns with ski goggles, snow boots and onesies.

Colorado is no stranger to snow, and white fluff in May isn't unheard of.
